RTI is up against some strong opposition. But it’s not alone in this war & together we should what we could do and we have already done it. We won our first battle in this war, now on to the next one.
The bill as you all know has been referred to the standing committee. The standing committee comprises of 30 MP’s. The entire list is available at tinyurl.com/standing-committee .
Call the MP’s: RTI is only chance to bring in transparency and accountability to our political parties. Even the election commission has written how difficult a task it is to make this happen (click here for the letter)
Tweet the MP’s: @twitter_hande: Criminals can make it to the parliament, the only way to keep the corrupt money out of it: #saveRTI, bring parties under RTI
SMS the MP’s: Criminals can make it to the parliament, the only way to keep the corrupt money out of it: #saveRTI, bring parties under RTI
Email the MP’s:
Dear Sir/Madam,
As a concerned citizen I would like to kindly request you to please say no to the amendments since this will make RTI less effective. With the recent decision in the parliament to allow convicted MP’s and MLA’s to contest elections, RTI is only chance to bring in accountability and transparency to the parties.
As always please log your call’s, tweets, SMS
Mails aren’t getting delivered to 3 mail-ids from the list given in the Google Document.
b.ajmal@sansad.nic.in
madhu.sudan@sansad.nic.in
vbsallahabad@gmail.com
I have checked for the correctness of the first two mail-ids.. The second one is mentioned as “madhu.sudan@@sansad.nic.in” everywhere.

Thanks much Sujit
for now, RTI is a part of democracy and transparency in system, hence A request to not touch RTI at all.
